While there is some truth to this, a lot of the statement is blown out of proportion. To think that you can make thousands of dollars on your first day is unrealistic. Therefore, you have to win over as many people on the internet as possible to make your business more appealing than the other thousands of websites just like yours.

If you truly want to get rich, the best way is to start your own website. This can take years to build up because of the time it takes to create hundreds of web pages with quality content and enticing graphics. Not to mention the need to focus on keyword optimization throughout each of your pages.

But if you want to start making money online immediately, you can do this through a number of different programs. Getting into affiliate marketing gives you the potential to make sales right away. But affiliate marketing should not be considered solely as a full-time job. Another option that can make you money immediately is by filling out surveys. It is quick, easy, and can make you a decent amount of money right away.

But to say that you can turn a full-time job on the internet into a money maker right away is unrealistic to say. You have to think that you are starting a business in an industry that has thousands of other competitors to fight off. And starting fresh means starting from the bottom where no one knows you exist.

This is not to scare you way from the internet, because there are tremendous opportunities with great rewards to be had on the internet. But the last thing you want to do is go into an online opportunity expecting to get rich over night. It will take time and energy to start making money online.
